The Royal Dutchman Resort/Motel is located on the beautiful Rainy River, three miles east of Baudette on State Highway 11.  We are open year round and accommodate the overnight guest as well as weekly guests or longer and are pleased to offer 5 new additional units in 2004.  We have kitchenette units with 2 bedrooms, standard appliances and cable TV.  We also have motel rooms with cable TV, air-conditioning, and in-room coffee.  Our resort/motel has a permanent dock, and grassy grounds with picnic tables, barbeque and lawn chairs.

The Royal Dutchman is three miles from the Canadian Border crossing which is open 24 hours a day and toll free.

The Rainy River has fantastic "ice-out" spring walleye fishing from mid March until the season closes on April 15th and good walleyes from May opener throughout the summer.  Sturgeon fishing is also very good at this time as well as throughout the year.  The Northern Pike and Small mouth Bass season never closes.  For the bird watcher there is an array of activity as well as historic sights to visit.  Fall brings back wonderful Walleye and Sturgeon action plus grouse, waterfowl, deer and bear hunting.  Lake of the Woods also offers many fishing opportunities, just minutes away.

Winter brings terrific ice fishing and snowmobilers will find miles and miles of groomed trails.

Rates for the kitchenette units start at $70.00 per day and motel $40.00 per day with a weekly special.  We provide daily cleaning service for all rooms.

As we are only three miles from town, we are close to fine dining and shopping yet far enough to be quiet and private.
